George W. Jacoby Award (American Neurological Association)

The American Neurological Association awards the George W. Jacoby Award triennially to an ANA member who has conducted especially meritorious experimental work in a neurologic or psychiatric subject during the preceding three years, with the recipient selected by the ANA Annual Meeting Programming Committee. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, gratis Annual Meeting registration, up to $1,000 in travel reimbursement, and a commemorative plaque. Eligible nominees are outstanding physician‑scientists or neuroscientists with appointments at the Associate Professor level or higher (or equivalent), actively working in academic neurology or neuroscience, and available to present in person at the ANA Annual Meeting. Nominations must include the nominee’s CV with complete bibliography, a one‑page statement of research achievements, a list of the 10 most important papers, one nomination letter from an ANA member, and a proposed lecture abstract (≤250 words); selection emphasizes novelty/impact, publication record, peer‑reviewed funding, and peer recognition.
