Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship

About this program

The Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship, sponsored by the American Statistical Association’s Committee on Women in Statistics and Caucus for Women in Statistics, supports women pursuing graduate training in statistics and encourages entry into statistically oriented professions. Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually: one to a woman in the early stages of an MS or PhD program and one to a woman at a more advanced stage of training. Applicants must be women, U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and admitted to full-time graduate study in statistics by July 1 of the award year. Applications are due March 1 and require a CV, personal essay, three reference letters, transcripts, and a headshot.
