Giving Back Fund

About this program

Administered by the ASABE Foundation, the Giving Back Fund awards annual grants to projects that showcase agricultural and biological engineering expertise through tangible activities—such as building, design, planning, or teaching—that benefit underserved individuals or groups anywhere in the world. Applicants submit a video, slide presentation, or other electronic materials to request funding for one or more projects. Projects must involve at least two ASABE members (any grade) in both the nomination and award years and include at least two people with degrees completed or in progress in agricultural, biological, biosystems engineering, or similarly named programs. The submitted project phase must have started within five years of nomination and be completed within two years of receiving funds (expenses eligible from three months prior to award through two years after); submissions may be considered for up to three years if ASABE membership remains current, and the submission deadline is December 31.
