About this program
The Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) provide grants of up to $160,000 for one to two years to support early-career faculty conducting basic research on the mechanisms and biology of aging. The funding is intended to help junior investigators establish research programs that can lead to longer-term efforts in aging research, rather than disease-specific studies. Eligible applicants are junior faculty with MD or PhD degrees who are committed to careers in aging research; AFAR administers the program and provides detailed eligibility and application requirements.
