About this program
The South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA) offers its annual Graduate Student Essay Award for outstanding graduate student presentations delivered at the previous year’s SAMLA conference. The award includes a $250 honorarium and publication in the South Atlantic Review. Applicants must have been SAMLA members for at least one year and submit their own 8–13-page, edited essay with a Works Cited page by July 15. Applicants must also attend the annual conference, where the award is announced.
