About this program

Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts offers project-based grants and awards to support research, publications, exhibitions, and public programs that investigate architecture and related spatial practices, expand historical perspectives, or explore the future of the built environment. For 2026, Grants to Individuals inquiry forms open July 15 with an inquiry deadline of September 15, 2026, the Carter Manny Award application will be available September 15 with a November 15, 2026 deadline, and Grants to Organizations currently have a passed deadline (see guidelines). Eligible applicants include individual practitioners (architects, scholars, critics, writers, artists, curators, educators) and nonprofit organizations, universities, publishers, and museums proposing publicly disseminated, project-based work in architecture or related fields.
