Grants-in-Aid (American Society of Mammalogists)

About this program

The American Society of Mammalogists' Grants-in-Aid Committee funds graduate research projects on mammals and nominates outstanding students for two named awards: the Albert R. and Alma Shadle Fellowship and the ASM Fellowship. The program supports graduate research proposals pertaining to mammals and highlights recent recipients such as Nicole Lopez (2024 Shadle) and Carson Hedberg (2024 ASM). Eligible applicants are graduate students conducting mammal-focused research; the ASM Fellowship specifically requires Society membership and recognizes exceptional accomplishments, service, and future potential.
