About this program

Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology (SSPP) awards the Richard M. Griffith Memorial Awards to two papers presented at its annual meeting, each receiving a $500 cash prize. Eligible applicants must be current Ph.D. candidates or have received their Ph.D. within five years of the meeting and must be SSPP members or applicants for membership. Single-author papers are preferred; multi-author papers are eligible only if the nominee is first author and clearly the primary contributor, and full papers must be submitted prior to the meeting. Winners are selected based on both the written paper and the presentation and are announced at the conference business meeting; see the SSPP call for papers for full details.
