Lalit and Anubha Gupta Pilot Award in PSC Research

About this program

The AASLD Foundation, supported by the Lalit and Anubha Gupta Family Foundation, offers a one-year, $50,000 pilot award for innovative, high-risk/high-reward research on the etiology or pathogenesis of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Funds support technical assistance and laboratory supplies, with limited salary support for postdoctoral researchers; indirect costs, travel, registration, and capital equipment are not eligible. Applicants must be AASLD members at the postdoctoral level through Associate Professor, devote at least 20% effort, and be sponsored by an eligible nonprofit institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico; Assistant Professors and below require an AASLD-member mentor. Applications are due December 7, 2026, and proposed projects must be new, non-overlapping with existing funding, and feasible within one year.
