Lalit and Anubha Gupta Pilot Award in PSC Research

About this program

The AASLD Foundation, with support from the Lalit and Anubha Gupta Family Foundation, offers a $50,000 one-year pilot award for innovative, exploratory research on the etiology and/or pathogenesis of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), particularly projects with limited preliminary data and high-impact potential. Funds support technical/laboratory supplies, with limited salary support for postdoctoral applicants and no indirect, travel, or registration costs. Eligible applicants are AASLD members at the postdoctoral level through Associate Professor (or equivalent) who devote at least 20% effort and are sponsored by a nonprofit institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico; Assistant Professors and below require an AASLD-member mentor. Applications are due December 7, 2026, for projects conducted from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2028.
