About this program
The APA Division 18 Harold M. Hildreth Distinguished Public Service Award honors an individual whose lifetime career has significantly advanced public mental health and exemplified outstanding public service psychology. Nominees should have national recognition for expertise and commitment demonstrated through leadership, advocacy, service delivery, mentorship, or influential scholarship benefiting the public interest. Nominations must include a supporting letter, the candidate’s curriculum vitae, and two additional letters of support. Materials are due annually by May 31 and should be submitted to president@publicservicepsych.org.
