Harrell Family Fellowship

About this program

The American Center of Research (ACOR) administers the Harrell Family Fellowship, a $2,500 award to help a graduate student (any nationality except Jordanian citizens) cover essential expenses for participation on an archaeological project or independent research in Jordan; funds are for use between May 1 of the award year and April 30 of the following year and may not be granted if the project largely or entirely covers the student's expenses. The award, funded by the Harrell Family Trust, can be combined with ACOR research or travel fellowships when used for research. Applicants must be enrolled graduate students at the time of application and submit a completed application form, an academic review or proof of ACOR/academic acceptance for independent research, a project proposal (up to 2,000 words), relevant transcripts, and one recommendation. Applications are due February 15, with notification in April.
