Hawarden Community Foundation Grant Program

About this program

The Hawarden Community Foundation, administered by the Siouxland Community Foundation, provides grants for charitable projects addressing present and emerging needs in Hawarden, Iowa, including arts and culture, civic improvement, education, environment, health, and human services. Applications open February 1 and are due by noon on April 1, with decisions expected in mid-June. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and units of local government serving the 51023 ZIP code area. Priority is given to collaborative projects that enhance quality of life, leverage community resources, encourage volunteerism, and benefit the greatest number of residents; general operating costs, deficits, political or religious activities, and completed projects are generally ineligible.
