Hearing Health Foundation Emerging Research Grants 2026–2027

About this program

Hearing Health Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026–2027 Emerging Research Grants, supporting hearing and balance research through Early Stage Investigator, Focused Discovery, and Expanded Discovery awards. Grants provide up to $50,000 annually ($100,000 over two years) for most award types and up to $100,000 annually ($200,000 over two years) for Central Auditory Processing Disorder research; Letters of Intent are due December 5, 2025, with selected applicants invited to submit full proposals. Eligible applicants must hold an Au.D., M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree and an appointment as faculty, postdoctoral, or clinical/research fellow at a U.S. nonprofit educational, governmental, or research institution; current otolaryngology residents may also apply. Early Stage Investigator awards have additional restrictions on career stage, prior federal awards, and outside support, while topic-specific awards require research on designated hearing or balance conditions.
