Helen B. Warner Prize for Astronomy

About this program

The American Astronomical Society awards the annual Helen B. Warner Prize for Astronomy to an early-career researcher for a significant observational or theoretical contribution made during the five years preceding the award. Eligibility requires candidates to be under 36 in the award year or within eight years of their PhD (no allowance for career interruptions), and to be residents of North America or members of a North American institution stationed abroad as of the award announcement. Self-nominations are allowed, candidates cannot be eligible for both the Warner and Pierce Prizes, and nominations are due by 30 June; inquiries may be directed to the AAS Secretary.
