About this program
The Society for Ethnomusicology offers the annual Helen Roberts Prize, including a $200 award, to recognize the most significant ethnomusicology article written by a Society member beyond the first 10 years of their scholarly career. Eligible work must have been published during the applicable previous year in Ethnomusicology, another journal, or an edited collection. Applicants may submit or nominate only one article per cycle, must determine their own eligibility based on career stage, and must apply online by April 1.
