Hilton Humanitarian Prize - Nominations

About this program

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s Hilton Humanitarian Prize recognizes exceptional nongovernmental organizations that significantly alleviate human suffering, with nominations accepted year‑round and finalists chosen by an independent international jury (Prize year is set by the nomination receipt date). Eligible nominees must be legally established nongovernmental, publicly supported charitable organizations (not individuals, programs, local offices, or member branches), have IRS 501(c)(3) status or international equivalent, be legally established for at least five years, maintain five consecutive years of audited financial statements, and report expenditures greater than US$750,000 in the most recent audited year. Nominators must have direct knowledge of the organization, may not be paid staff, founders, Hilton employees/board/jurors or close family members, and must submit a signed English nomination letter of no more than four typed pages via the online nominations portal; one nomination per nominator per prize cycle is allowed. Selected nominees are invited to complete a two‑phase online application and shortlisted finalists proceed to jury review.
