Hope Goddard Iselin Fellowship in Public Horticulture

About this program

The Garden Club of America, funded by the Hope Goddard Iselin Foundation, offers the Hope Goddard Iselin Fellowship to support experiential learning in public horticulture at recognized U.S. public gardens, botanic gardens, arboreta, or closely aligned institutions. One or more graduate students receive $5,000 annually to support practical research and training at host institutions that connect people, plants, and gardening. Applicants must be graduate-level students enrolled at U.S.-based institutions studying public horticulture and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; they must confirm the ability to conduct research or otherwise utilize the host facility, and may apply for only one GCA scholarship/fellowship/award per year. Applications are submitted to the American Public Gardens Association by the annual February 1 deadline and are reviewed by a committee appointed by the APGA Garden Scholars Committee Chair.
