About this program

The Community Foundation of Noble County offers the Hornett, Joseph A. and Lolita J. Memorial Scholarship, a one-time $1,000 award disbursed after completion of the first semester for use only toward tuition, books, and academic fees (housing excluded). The scholarship funds one East Noble High School senior or graduate entering college as a freshman either in a bachelor’s nursing program at an accredited institution or as a freshman at the University of Notre Dame in any discipline. Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 GPA (4.00 scale), may not be attending Ivy Tech Community College, and are required to submit a letter about their first-year college experience to the Community Foundation by June 1. Apply through the CFNC Scholarship Apply Portal—create/login, complete the eligibility quiz and matched scholarship application(s) plus the CFNC Main Application (essays, references, activities) and submit all materials by Jan. 14, 2027 at 11:00 PM.
