The American Musicological Society (AMS) offers the Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship to support students from historically underrepresented groups pursuing a PhD in music studies at U.S. or Canadian universities. This fellowship, honoring Howard Mayer Brown, aims to enhance diversity in musicology by providing a twelve-month stipend of $25,000, with the option for a non-stipendiary award.
