About this program

The Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation (HWLF) offers microgrants of approximately $500–$5,000 for project-based initiatives that benefit women and children in Hawaii, with priority for efforts addressing legal access, child and domestic violence, sexual abuse, financial independence, and health, education, and welfare. Operational expenses are generally discouraged, while neighbor-island applications are encouraged. Applications are accepted twice annually, with 2026 deadlines of April 3 and October 2.
