IAGLR Lifetime Achievement Award

About this program

The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) offers the Lifetime Achievement Award to honor individuals with important, sustained contributions to large-lake research spanning 20 or more years; recipients are recognized at the annual Conference on Great Lakes Research and no monetary prize is specified. Eligible nominees must have at least 20 years of professional experience beyond the terminal degree in relevant fields (ecology, fisheries biology, limnology, environmental engineering, or resource management) on large lakes worldwide and must not have previously received the award; IAGLR membership is preferred. Nominations, submitted by IAGLR members, must include a ~two‑page nomination letter describing contribution, originality, and impact, the nominee’s CV/resume, and at least three letters of support (preferably from IAGLR members); the announcement lists a February 1 deadline.
