IAMP Early Career Award (sponsored by Springer)

About this program

Springer sponsors the IAMP Early Career Award, presented by the International Association of Mathematical Physics at the International Congress of Mathematical Physics to recognize a single outstanding achievement in mathematical physics and carrying a €3,000 prize. Eligibility is restricted to scientists under 35 years of age, calculated as years since birth on July 31 of the Congress year. Nominations must be submitted by IAMP members within a window opening no earlier than 18 months after the previous ICMP and closing no later than six months before the next ICMP, and must include the nominee’s name plus a brief characterization of the work; nominations are sent by e-mail to the IAMP President and Secretary with a subsequent fax or hard copy. A five-member committee appointed by the IAMP Executive Committee selects the laureate and may consider candidates who have not been formally nominated, and the IAMP will make reasonable efforts to facilitate the recipient’s attendance at the award ceremony.
