IARS Mentored Research Award

About this program

The International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) offers the Mentored Research Award to support promising investigators conducting clinical, translational, or basic research relevant to anesthesiology and its subspecialties. Up to four awards of $250,000 each are provided over two years to advance recipients toward independent research funding and leadership. Applicants must be IARS members with limited substantial independent funding or entering a new research area, and must have a clear research plan, adequate preliminary data, a senior mentor, and an appointment in an established principal investigator’s research group. The 2026 application cycle is closed; details for the 2027 cycle will be posted when available.
