IAS Travel Grant 2026

About this program

The International Association of Sedimentologists (IAS) offers Travel Grants to contribute toward travel, accommodation and registration costs for IAS student members attending IAS‑sponsored conferences, workshops and short courses; awards are distance‑banded and range roughly from €50 to €1,200 depending on distance and meeting type. Applicants must be active IAS student members who are the lead/first author presenting an oral or poster (for conferences/workshops) and must submit a single PDF application including event details, recipient and supervisor contact, a supporting case (up to 250 words), the submitted abstract, and official proof of enrolment. Each meeting has a fixed grant budget and oversubscribed awards are allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis; only one IAS Travel Grant may be held per member per calendar year, and payments are made after the meeting into the recipient’s bank account upon signing a confirmation of participation.
