IASP Low- and Middle-Income Countries Project: Initiative for Improving Pain Education

About this program

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) offers three competitive grants totaling US$25,000—one award of US$10,000, one of US$8,000, and one of US$7,000—to improve pain education and practice in low- and middle-income countries. Funding supports one-year projects such as developing teaching materials, online learning programs, practical instruction, or institutional and policy initiatives. Project leaders must be based in a World Bank–defined low- or middle-income country, have been IASP members for at least one year, and not have received the same award within the previous three years. Projects must be ready to begin within three months of the deadline, include defined start and end dates, and demonstrate local need, appropriate educational content, implementation capacity, and an evaluation plan; the current application period is closed.
