ICDD Grant-in-Aid Program

About this program

The International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) offers grants to support the collection and dissemination of reference X-ray powder diffraction data. This program aims to enhance the Powder Diffraction File (PDF) with new and relevant data.

Eligible applicants include qualified investigators and researchers who prepare and characterize new materials using powder diffraction techniques. Proposals are assessed competitively, with priority given to high-quality patterns of new phases not yet represented in the PDF, and special consideration for substances of current interest with industrial or research applications.
