About this program

The International Coral Reef Society offers annual Graduate Fellowships of approximately US$2,500 to support fieldwork or laboratory visits for research on coral reefs, with typically six awards available. Funds must support research contributing to a thesis and cannot be used for conference attendance or activities after thesis submission. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a research master’s or PhD program at an accredited institution and hold ICRS student or full membership; two awards are reserved for citizens of low- and middle-income countries. Applications are due February 15.
