About this program
The IEEE Photonics Society presents the IEEE Photonics Award for outstanding achievements in photonics, recognizing an individual or team of up to three with a bronze medal, certificate, and cash honorarium. Candidates are evaluated on discoveries, scientific or technological advances, inventions, impact on the field, and the quality of the nomination. Colleagues may submit nominations by January 15, following the requirements administered by the IEEE Technical Field Awards Council.
