IGS-EGG Conference Grant

About this program

The International Glaciological Society’s Early‑career Glaciologists Group (IGS‑EGG) offers Conference Grants of up to £750 to support early‑career researchers’ attendance and participation at conferences or meetings fully or partly sponsored by IGS; funds may be used for registration, abstract/session fees, travel, accommodation, and other relevant expenses. Eligible applicants are undergraduate or graduate students or researchers within five years of their terminal degree, with preference for individuals from under‑represented groups and those with limited access to traditional funding; some priority is given to first‑time conference attendees. Applications require an applicant form and a referee form submitted together by email to egg@igsoc.org using the specified subject header; eligible events and any special deadlines (e.g., CliC Open Science Conference 2026) are listed at https://igsoc.org/events.
