About this program
The IIDA Foundation, sponsored by KI and presented with the Interior Design Educators Council Foundation, offers the 2026 IIDA Educator of Impact Award to recognize educators advancing racial and ethnic diversity in the interior design industry. The recipient receives a $5,000 cash prize, a $500 travel stipend to attend the IDEC Annual Conference, and additional public recognition. Full-time educators with demonstrated contributions to expanding racial and ethnic diversity are eligible; IIDA membership is not required, and self- or third-party nominations are accepted. Applications are open August 11–October 9, 2026.
