Image Engineering Innovation Award

About this program

Image Engineering of Frechen, Germany sponsors the Image Engineering Innovation Award to recognize breakthrough innovations in digital imaging—particularly in image capture devices—and awards an engraved camera-shaped trophy plus a $1,000 cash stipend. The prize was established in 2012 and historically presented no more than once per year; it was discontinued in 2016. Eligible candidates are individuals worldwide (members and non-members) who have made substantial contributions to digital imaging; the award may be given to an individual, shared among partners or a small team, or split between up to three independent inventions/inventors. Nominations may name inventors or innovations; if inventors are not named the awards subcommittee will determine and cite the inventor(s).
