IMS Hannan Graduate Student Travel Award

About this program

The Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) offers the Hannan Graduate Student Travel Award to support travel and registration costs for graduate students attending IMS-sponsored or co-sponsored meetings, with typical awards of USD 400–1,000 reimbursed against receipts. Presenting a student-authored paper or poster is encouraged but not required, and funding may be combined with other support. Applicants must be IMS members (or join when applying), be pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. in statistical science or probability, and not receive their Ph.D. in the application year. Applications are due February 1 and require a CV, meeting information, research materials, and two recommendation letters.
