Incubator Grant

About this program

The SIR Foundation’s Incubator Grant supports development of clinical research projects that advance interventional radiology and patient care, including clinical study protocols, federal or industry proposals, and study operations or training materials. Awards provide up to $25,000 for one year and may not support data collection, study conduct, indirect costs, construction, or office expenses. Applicants must be SIR members in good standing, hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution, and be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents; visa holders require institutional assurances. Applicants whose proposed study has already received at least $250,000 in major funding and current SIR/SIR Foundation leaders are ineligible; applications are due January 15, 2027, by 5 p.m. ET.
