About this program
The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) offers the Innovation in Teaching Award (ITA) to recognize media educators whose pedagogy, teaching style, and assignments demonstrate innovative, engaging, and non-lecture-based learning. Both nominations and self-nominations are accepted, with the winner recognized at the BEA Annual Convention. Applicants must be current BEA or institutional members, full-time faculty, and within their first 10 years of postsecondary faculty employment; current BEA board members are ineligible. Nominations open September 1 and close December 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
