Innovative Student Research Grant

About this program

The Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA), with administration by the ABAI Science Board, offers Innovative Student Research Grants to support basic or applied research in the experimental analysis of behavior. Awards include up to six doctoral dissertation grants of $5,000 and up to four master’s thesis grants of $2,500, plus one $1,000 award; translational research is preferred, and applications are due January 13, 2027. Applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible psychology, education, behavioral science, or allied master’s or doctoral program with qualified behavioral faculty and have at least one full academic year remaining. Proposals must demonstrate rigorous, significant research, include required biosketch, budget, advisor and institutional resource documentation, and applicants may not also apply for the Bijou Grant in the same year.
