Invasive Species Queensland Award

Invasive Species Queensland offers the Invasive Species Queensland Award to recognize an individual for outstanding service or contribution to weed or pest animal science and/or management, including significant additions to knowledge, new management concepts, or long-term dedication. The award is an object suitable for an inscribed plaque with total cost not to exceed AUD 240, and ISQ may cover reasonable travel expenses to assist the recipient to attend the presentation or give an oration the following year. Nominations are called prior to the Pest Animals and Weeds Symposium (PAWS) and must be submitted to the ISQ Secretariat by the stated deadline, be signed by one or more financial ISQ members, and may include referee endorsements; multiple-member nominations are viewed favourably. The award is open to both ISQ members and non-members, but only financial members may nominate; a committee appointed by the ISQ executive assesses nominations and the recipient is announced at the PAWS dinner.
