ISDS Humanitarian Award

About this program

The Illinois State Dental Society offers the annual ISDS Humanitarian Award to honor member dentists who have contributed at least 10 years to improving oral health for underserved populations in the U.S. and/or abroad; the recipient directs a $500 monetary prize to a dental charity or project of their choice. Nominations are submitted to the ISDS Humanitarian Award Committee by April 30 each year. Eligible nominees are active, life, or retired ISDS members in good standing and nomination packets must include a narrative describing the nominee’s commitment and impact, a CV/resumé, three letters of support from individuals other than the nominator, and supporting documentation (testimonials, photographs, brochures); CDs/DVDs/videos and excessive materials will not be considered.
