About this program

The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation (ISDSF) Community Grant Awards program provides up to $10,000 in annual funding to projects and applicants in Illinois that improve dental care access and oral health for Illinois residents, with priority given to proposals demonstrating measurable outcomes, strong community support, and innovative approaches. Eligible projects include increasing dental care access for low-income populations and seniors, procuring dental supplies or equipment for safety-net providers, implementing oral health education in underserved schools, and supporting emergency dental care for disadvantaged individuals. Applicants must be endorsed by an ISDS component dental society, reside in Illinois, and submit equipment purchase requests with two competitive bids; organizations are ineligible if they received ISDSF funding for three consecutive years (requiring a one-year break) or received Chicago Dental Society Foundation grants in the same award year. The application deadline is May 28th, with funds not available for equipment or capital improvements in government facilities.
