ISHLT Early Career & Trainee Research Grant on Molecular and/or Genetic Biomarkers for Advanced Organ Failure & Post-Transplant Care

International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), supported by Natera, offers the Early Career & Trainee Research Grant of up to $40,000 for one year to support research on the clinical implications or utility of non-invasive molecular and/or genetic testing in advanced organ failure, post‑transplant care, and mechanical circulatory support populations; applications are due 30 September 2026. The award supports salary, study personnel, statistical and core facility support, supplies, publication and travel costs (with up to 10% institutional overhead). Eligible applicants are early career faculty (most recent training and first appointment completed fewer than six years ago) or mentored trainees actively in training, and must have an academic/clinical appointment or be at an accredited institution with a letter of institutional commitment; mentored applicants must include a mentor support letter and the mentor must be an ISHLT member. Applicants must be active ISHLT members or have submitted membership by the deadline; applicants with substantial relationships with Natera must disclose conflicts and Natera employees are ineligible.
