ISHLT Lifetime Achievement Award

About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) annually presents its Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize an individual whose lifelong contributions have significantly improved care for patients with advanced heart or lung disease, including through pioneering work. The award is conferred by the ISHLT Board of Directors and incorporates the former Pioneer Award and Lifetime Service Award. Recipients are typically current or former ISHLT members, although other meritorious individuals may be considered when a clear justification is provided for nonmember eligibility.
