ISHLT Molecular Biomarkers and AI/Machine Learning Grant for Heart Transplant Care

About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), with support from CareDx, offers two one-year grants of up to $40,000 each for research combining molecular biomarkers with artificial intelligence or machine learning to improve evaluation of heart transplant candidates or management of recipients. One award supports research in a U.S. laboratory and one supports research outside the United States. Applicants must hold an academic or clinical appointment, or be in training with an accepted faculty appointment or institutional commitment, at an accredited institution and must be current ISHLT members or have submitted a membership application by January 21, 2025. CareDx employees are ineligible, and applicants with substantial CareDx relationships must disclose potential conflicts to ISHLT before applying.
