ISHLT/ICCAC VAD Coordinator Career Development Grant

About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) and International Consortium of Circulatory Assist Clinicians (ICCAC) offer one annual grant of up to $20,000 to support VAD coordinator-led quality improvement or research projects that improve mechanical circulatory support patient and caregiver care, outcomes, resource utilization, and quality of life. Projects must be conducted at an accredited medical institution, begin between June 15 and December 31 of the award year, and be completed within one year unless an extension is approved. Applicants must be VAD coordinators with at least two years of experience at an active VAD program, maintain membership in good standing with both ISHLT and ICCAC, and have an ISHLT member mentor or supervisor. Applications may not duplicate or overlap with other funded work, and $2,000 must support attendance at an ISHLT Annual Meeting.
