About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) offers a one-year, $65,000 O.H. Frazier Grant to support translational research using mechanical circulatory support (MCS) to improve understanding, management, and outcomes in heart failure treatment. The award is intended for rising clinician or clinician-scientists pursuing careers in MCS at active VAD/transplant programs. Applicants and their department head, division chief, or research director must be ISHLT members; applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible, hold a full-time academic faculty appointment, and have achieved this status within the past three years. Applicants may not have more than $40,000 in external funding for the same period and must commit to MCS training, an ISHLT presentation, and a related manuscript submission to the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
