ISHR Fellowship (FISHR) — recognition of outstanding contributions to cardiovascular research

About this program

The International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) awards Fellowship (FISHR) status to recognize members who have made outstanding, independent contributions to cardiovascular research; Fellows receive a certificate, may use the FISHR designation, get free registration at ISHR World Congresses, and are expected to provide leadership in Society activities. Candidates must be ISHR members nominated by the ISHR Council, a Section, or the Editorial Board of the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology and are appointed every three years by a Selection/Credentials Committee. Selection is based solely on scientific excellence—an established track record of high-impact publications and independent research that has substantially advanced cardiovascular biology or medicine—while service or political considerations are not factors. Appointments are limited (Fellows will not exceed 10% of membership) and Fellows pay additional dues ($45/year or $120/3 years).
