Jazz Road Grants

About this program

South Arts, a nonprofit organization, offers Jazz Road Grants, a national initiative supported by the Doris Duke Foundation and the Mellon Foundation, to promote jazz across the U.S. The program includes two grant opportunities: Jazz Road Tours (up to $15,000) for small, multi-site tours, often in underserved areas, and Jazz Road Creative Residencies ($5,000-$40,000) for artistic creation or audience engagement projects. Eligibility is open to U.S.-based jazz artists at all career stages, from emerging to established, who self-identify along this spectrum. No cost-sharing is required.
