Jean Dickinson Gibbons Endowed Scholarships

About this program

The American Statistical Association offers up to four Jean Dickinson Gibbons Endowed Scholarships of $10,000 each annually to support PhD students in statistics pursuing or preparing for doctoral dissertation research in applied statistics. Awards may supplement existing financial support for dissertation-stage students or support students completing coursework before beginning their dissertations. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Canada, enrolled or accepted in a doctoral statistics program in the United States or Canada, have substantial university financial assistance, and have completed or be expected to complete a master’s degree in mathematics or statistics. Applications are due March 1 and require a CV, personal statement, three references, transcripts, GRE or equivalent scores, proof of status, headshot, and enrollment confirmation.
