Jean Theodore Lacordaire Prize

About this program

The Coleopterists Society offers the Jean Theodore Lacordaire Prize for outstanding PhD dissertation research on the biology and evolution of beetles, comprising a $1,000 cash award, plaque, and recognition at the Society’s annual general meeting. Eligible papers must have been published in the preceding calendar year in a widely distributed, ICZN-compliant journal or book, with the lead author being or having been a doctoral student; Society membership is not required. Nominations must be submitted by 1 March of the following year by someone other than the nominee and include a nomination letter, advisor confirmation of the dissertation basis and author contributions, and a PDF of the publication.
