Jennifer Easton Community Spirit Award for Native Artists and Culture Bearers

First Peoples Fund’s annual Jennifer Easton Community Spirit Award honors Native artists and culture bearers through nomination-only awards of up to $50,000 to support the transmission of cultural knowledge and help Native communities heal and thrive. The award is open to practicing Native artists in any medium—traditional or contemporary—and nominations were solicited May 13 through June 17 (5:59 PM MT). Nominees must be deeply rooted and connected to their Native community, demonstrate a sustained commitment to sharing and passing on cultural and artistic traditions, and have at least 10 years of practice.
