The Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era (SHGAPE) awards its Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era (JGAPE) Best Article Prize in even-numbered years for the best article published in the journal during the preceding two years. The recipient is honored at the annual SHGAPE luncheon and receives a certificate and honorarium. Eligibility is limited to authors of articles published in JGAPE within the designated two-year award period.
